There, you can choose to escape the hustle and bustle to relax and enjoy the warm clear blue water, plentiful sunshine and the blissful beaches or jump in to the energy at festivals, resorts and on the beaches.

Back in October as many of you remember hurricane Matthew a category 3-4 wreaked havoc in the Caribbean.  The Bahama islands were not spared.  There are many locations outside the tourist areas that have yet to recover from the impact of Hurricane Matthew.  When Caribbean Soul Trekkers were contacted by representatives from the Bahamas to assist in a fund raising event we did not hesitate to help get the word out.

How can you help?

There is a crowd funding site that has been designated to accept donations here:   All proceeds go toward relief efforts in the western settlements of Grand Bahama and Andros.

A benefit concert will also take place on December 10th on Nassau Arawak Cay (better known as the Fish Fry).  Celebrities from across the Caribbean and the United States have come together to support the Bahamas in its time of need.  All performers and participants have pledged their support by waving their fees to ensure the success of this fund raising event. Can’t make it to Nassau for the concert?  No worries because will be covering the event  live from the Bahamas using their platform as a live telethon event where donations can take place as the concert is streamed live online.

We are asking all of our Soul Trekker family to help make an impact by showing your support to the Bahamian people. Please visit to make a donation.  “It’s Better in The Bahamas” let’s make sure it stays that way!
