5 Caribbean Beaches We Can’t Wait to Trek Back to
It’s been over 100 days since we last stepped foot on a Caribbean beach and, boy, do we miss it. While eagerly waiting to book that next trip, the team over at Caribbean Soul Trekkers has been pouring over our photo gallery, reminiscing over some of our favorite beach memories. Here are five Caribbean beaches we’re missing right now and can’t wait to get back to.
5. Bathsheba Beach, Barbados
Located on the unspoiled, eastern side of Barbados, Bathsheba Beach is a scenic oasis great for walks in the sand, surfing and photography. The waves on the Atlantic Ocean side are too rough for swimming but they – along with the massive rock formations – are also what make this beach such a sight to behold. Grab a few rum punches from the local vendors and enjoy the view!
4. Lighthouse Beach, Eleuthera
Eleuthera is known for its secluded stretches of pristine, white sand but Lighthouse Beach – located on its southernmost tip – tops them all. To reach it, you’ll need to commit to a long ride down an extremely bumpy and sometimes nonexistent road, but trust us – it’s worth the trek. Bring a picnic basket, cold drinks, beach chairs and your camera because there are no facilities on this beach – only unbelievable views of limestone formations, sand and waves.
3. Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
Famed for its coral sand, lively atmosphere and picturesque sunsets, Seven Mile Beach fronts a string of popular hotels on Grand Cayman. This is a beach whose accessibility makes it so easy to enjoy.
2. Jolly Beach, Antigua
Jolly Beach’s mile-long stretch of powder white sand is a leisure beach intended for living out the motto of beach, eat, sleep, repeat. There, you can lay out all day long and watch the sailboats bounce gently on the turquoise water.
1. Rendezvous Bay, Anguilla
This is the beach we find ourselves missing the most. Rendezvous Beach provides picturesque views of neighboring St Martin and an undeniable feeling of beach bliss. We enjoy spending the day with Garvey at the Sunshine Shack, lounging on beach chairs, sinking our forks into freshly grilled lobster with a side of rum punch and dipping into crystal clear water before catching a live performance with Bankie Banx at the Dune Preserve in the evening.
Everyone has their own list of favorite Caribbean beaches and these are just a few of ours. We’d love for you to share the ones that make it on to your list in the comments!
